In the process consisting of MBR process (intermittent reaction tank, membrane separation tank, transition tank) and the electrolytic device, the sludge is transferred from the membrane separation tank during the aeration time and transferred from the transition tank to the intermittent reaction tank during non-aeration time. Ferrous ions generated in the electrolytic device are supplied into the intermittent reaction tank and the membrane separation tank.

Principle of DS-MBR technology
It is a video of DS-MBR technology which supplies ferrous ions into the intermittent reaction tank and the membrane separation tank.
Excellence in DS-MBR technology
Performance of technology
This technology increases amounts of discharged iron and reduces electricity bills by supplying finally treated clean water of membrane filtration into the electrolytic device. It also helps maintain the facility easily. Thus, it removes phosphorus.
Improvement of electrolysis efficiency
The technology adjusts aeration/ non-aeration time of the intermittent reaction tank based on the characteristics of inflow water. Thus, it improves the efficiency of nitrogen removal by returning MLSS from the membrane separation tank and the transition tank.
※ Operating conditions
1) Standards for comparing electrolytic devices : 50 A, 60 A, 70 A
2) Density of current : 7.8 A/m2, 9.4 A/m2, 11 A/m2
Efficiency of nitrogen removal
This technology separates solids and liquids in the transition tank by using excellent sedimentation of MLSS including ferrous ions when the membrane separation cannot be carried out. Thus, this technology discharges the finally treated water and maintains MLSS of the system.
